Atlético Nacional
Atlético Nacional were the Clausura 2024 champions but only managed a fifth-place finish in the regular stage of the current Apertura. Their current third-place standing in the final phase reflects that inconsistency. However, they deserve credit for staying in contention, especially after failing to win any matches following the third round. Last Thursday, Atlético Nacional revived their campaign with a 2:1 away win over group leaders Independiente Santa Fe.
Millonarios
Millonarios were in second place, but a 2:2 draw against Once Caldas in the previous round allowed them to leapfrog Independiente Santa Fe. That point was especially valuable, as the team had been two goals down at half-time. They remain the only unbeaten side in the group and have taken four points from two matches on the road.
Atlético Nacional vs Millonarios Prediction
Both teams have shown stronger form on their travels. The last three meetings between these two sides all ended in draws, including two goalless encounters. Given what's at stake—a place in the final and top spot in the group—Millonarios are unlikely to lose by more than one goal, and more likely to secure at least a point.
