Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the UEFA Conference League match.
With Bačka Topola and Noah facing a challenging position ahead of the final round of the Conference League's group stage in 2024, both sides are likely to play cautiously in their direct encounter. The Serbian team have been more reliable defensively in this edition of the competition and benefit from playing at home.
Bačka Topola
In the five Conference League fixtures, Bačka Topola have scored six goals—only four clubs in the lower half of the table boast a better attack. Their performances against Swiss sides Lugano (4:1) and St. Gallen (2:2) have shown the team have plenty of fighting spirit and can challenge any opponent. Although they fell to one of the Belgian Pro League leaders, Gent (0:3), they managed to create 1.32 xG and register more shots (15-13).
Noah
Noah's humiliating defeat to Chelsea (0:8) still lingers in their psyche, with their defence now seen as one of the easiest challenges in the tournament. The Armenian side lost to APOEL (1:3) in the fifth round, allowing 1.40 xGA, and they have conceded 12 goals (the third-worst tally in the league). Without Ognjen Čančarević and Martin Gambos, both sidelined, the coaching staff cannot field a full-strength squad.
Bačka Topola vs Noah Prediction
Since the start of November, Bačka Topola have netted ten goals in four home matches. The Serbian team's attacking focus should enable them to consistently create chances against Noah, who have fewer prospects for the Conference League playoffs.
