Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Spanish La Liga match.
In the current La Liga campaign, only Barcelona have yet to drop points. It's clear they view their match against Valladolid as another chance to extend their winning streak and build confidence ahead of the Champions League.
Barcelona
Over the past three rounds, Barcelona have created 7.42 xG, the highest in the competition by far. They may not have dominated their victories over Valencia, Athletic, and Rayo Vallecano (all 2:1), but it's worth noting that the team is still finding their rhythm. Robert Lewandowski has stood out the most, leading La Liga with three goals, while Lamine Yamal has scored 1 + 2, becoming the team's top scorers.
Real Valladolid
At the start of the campaign, Valladolid have faced a mix of opponents from the Segunda and top-tier teams. While they performed reasonably well against Espanyol (1:0) and Leganes (0:0), they were beaten by Real Madrid (0:3) in the second half. During that match, the Madrid side created 1.77 xG in the second half, while the La Liga newcomers managed only one shot on target. The team is likely to struggle again against another top-tier opponent.
Barcelona - Real Valladolid Prediction
Even considering the injury to midfielder Marc Bernal, Barcelona have plenty of options in midfield. They are set to delight their fans with a resounding home victory before the international break.
