Adam Williams presents his prediction for the EuroLeague match.
AS Monaco arrive in Spain as firm favourites. Baskonia are indeed in terrible form, with only one win in their last five fixtures; however, playing against Spanish sides away is always a tough challenge. Will the Monaco players have enough strength to secure an important victory?
Baskonia
Baskonia started the season rather poorly. They have a negative win-loss record in the EuroLeague (4-5), with their main issue being offence, averaging just 76.6 points per game, the second-worst in the tournament. Furthermore, the Spaniards' defence is very inconsistent, allowing 91 and 89 points in their last two games.
AS Monaco
AS Monaco are a much more experienced team. Their players are accustomed to performing on the international stage, and even away games pose little trouble, having won two of their last three. Monaco perform well on both ends of the court, averaging 82.4 points per game and ranking in the top 5 for steals, with an average of 7.1 per game.
Baskonia vs AS Monaco Prediction
The visitors boast a much more balanced and experienced roster. AS Monaco are currently in good form, and we believe they should easily secure a win against a weak Baskonia side.
