Adam Williams presents his prediction for the English Premiership rugby match.
The last club to attempt to halt Bath Rugby's commanding run in the Premiership will be Saracens—a perennial and extremely dangerous adversary.
Bath Rugby
Before now, only second-placed Bristol Bears managed to stop the vice-champions in the English league (36:26). Bristol Bears accomplished this on the Recreation Ground, and following that, Bath Rugby have claimed five consecutive victories in the Premiership and another three in the domestic cup. However, in the Champions Cup group stage, which commenced in December, Bath lost both matches, albeit by narrow margins—to the two-time tournament winners La Rochelle (20:24) and Benetton (21:22).
Saracens
While the triumph over Northampton Saints (39:24) was impressive, Bath are in better form than the champions. It's no coincidence that Northampton Saints are in eighth, Saracens in third, and Bath hold the top spot. Away from home, Saracens have lost half of their six matches. These defeats came in both the league and the English Cup, in which the Londoners compete. Nonetheless, as last season’s Premiership semi-finalists currently sitting in the top three, an easy win for the hosts can't be anticipated.
Bath Rugby vs Saracens Prediction
Bath's slip-ups came against real heavyweights, and Saracens are one such team. Recalling the last face-off against Saracens in Somerset, it ended unfavourably for the hosts (12:15). Hence, this encounter may conclude in either a narrow victory or even a narrow defeat for Bath. To cover both outcomes, we suggest placing a bet on a positive handicap for the visitors.
