Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Bundesliga match.
Bayer Leverkusen have made a slow start and have already dismissed Erik ten Hag, handing the squad to Kasper Hjulmand. The expectation is for a reaction from the squad, because just one point from two matchdays is far too little for a club of this level. Eintracht Frankfurt, by contrast, have started perfectly: six points and second place.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen have lost their confidence: a 1:2 defeat to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and a 3:3 draw with SV Werder Bremen, where the team let a 3:1 lead slip. Errors in defence and poor concentration have been the main issues. With Lukáš Hrádecký no longer between the posts, Mark Flekken has taken over in goal and has already conceded five goals in two matchdays from 10 shots on target. Erik ten Hag has lost his job, and Kasper Hjulmand has only just started work.
Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt are in excellent form: a 4:1 win over SV Werder Bremen and a 3:1 victory against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. In terms of goals scored, Eintracht Frankfurt trail only Bayern Munich. They are playing bright, attacking football and have barely noticed the loss of forward Hugo Ekitike. Ritsu Doan has slotted in nicely with two goals already, while the youngsters Can Uzun and Jean-Mattéo Bahoya have also netted two each.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen vs Eintracht Frankfurt Prediction
Eintracht Frankfurt are on the up and will exploit Bayer Leverkusen’s poor form. The squad looks more cohesive and assured at the start of the season and will take at least a point.
