Bayern Munich's triumphant form is paving the way for yet another championship, as if Bayer Leverkusen's golden season never happened. The Munich giants continue their relentless dominance in the Bundesliga. Neighbours from Augsburg are unlikely to pose much resistance to a team eager to hit peak form before their Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
Bayern Munich
Excluding their defeat to Barcelona (1:4), Bayern have been nearly flawless since the October international break. In seven matches across all competitions, they have netted 19 goals and secured six victories, all with clean sheets. In terms of xG, Bayern boast a substantial lead over Bayer Leverkusen, who are in second place (26.51 vs 24.03). The reigning champions are yet to fully capitalise on their scoring opportunities, whereas Bayern Munich have exceeded expectations with an extra 6.49 accurate shots.
Augsburg
Augsburg seemingly have all it takes to break into the top eight, but their defence hampers their point tally. They have conceded 20 goals with an xGA of 13.39, with only three Bundesliga teams faring worse defensively. Moreover, Augsburg's away form is dismal: in four rounds, they have claimed just one point (the 16th spot alongside Borussia Dortmund) and conceded 12 goals.
