Belgium suffered their first defeat only in the 15th game with Tedesco as head coach. They could have avoided a defeat against Slovakia (0:1) with 1.97 xG vs 0.58. They even deserved it. Bakayoko and Openda who came into the pitch following substitution made the game better. Belgium even scored a goal disallowed by the referee.
Romania
Unlike Belgium, Romania used every moment they had against Ukraine. Stanciu and Marin showed their individual skills. And the corner kick goal showed how the coaches were prepared for the game. Romania had only 34% ball possession and only 10 shots versus 14.
