Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match.
Bolivia
In six World Cup qualifying matches, Bolivia have earned only three points—better only than Peru (2 points). The team conceded 14 goals in this period (the worst defence)—their defensive issues persisted in the Copa America, where they failed to earn any points in a group with the USA (0:2), Uruguay (0:5), and Panama (1:3). Clearly, making it into the top six of the South American qualifiers would be a true miracle for Bolivia.
Venezuela
In the Copa America group stage, Venezuela were the third force in their group, but they managed to beat both Ecuador (2:1) and Mexico (1:0). Their match against Jamaica (3:0) showed how they play a counter-attacking style: they effectively broke on the counter (2.33 xG from 19 shots) while also managing to get back and defend.
Bolivia - Venezuela Prediction
In their last five head-to-head meetings, Venezuela defeated Bolivia four times. In El Alto, the visitors need to take points—their form this year leaves no doubts, unlike that of the hosts. We’re taking the very reliable handicap of Venezuela (+1), such an offer can't be missed!
