This weekend the side beat Borussia Mönchengladbach in the German Bundesliga (2:1). Currently, the team from Dortmund occupies fifth place. They keep on struggling to get to the top 4 to qualify for the Champions League for the next season. They have the games versus Bayer and RB Leipzig ahead.
Atlético Madrid
Atlético had a two-goal lead in the first leg until the 81st minute. Their situation in this game is pretty tough as keeping the positive result in the away game in Dortmund isn’t going to be a piece of cake. In Spain, Atlético are 4th. They are 4 points ahead of Athletic Bilbao. The away side can easily focus on this match.
Borussia Dortmund – Atlético Madrid prediction
I believe that Borussia Dortmund should win the first 90 minutes of the game. However, I’m not sure if the German side will be capable of advancing to the next round. Atlético Madrid can keep the result they need.
It will be a hard game, far from being exciting. I think that Borussia Dortmund will have a one-goal lead by the end of 90 minutes. The final result of this rivalry will be decided in extra-time or on penalties. And it’s nearly impossible to predict how it will end.
