This season, Freiburg have also struggled to find the right combinations following the end of Christian Streich’s era, and Julian Schuster’s staff are still gaining experience. Their trip to RB Leipzig in round eight was promising only in the first half, as the skilled Red Bulls scored three times after the break, creating 1.09 xG in 45 minutes. In terms of expected goals, Freiburg rank seventh in the Bundesliga.
