Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Bournemouth
Bournemouth had a strong stretch during the middle of the campaign, establishing themselves as a tough opponent for any English Premier League side. They also reached the FA Cup quarter-finals, where they were eliminated by Manchester City. In their last three league outings, the squad managed just three points—but consider the opposition: all three are in the hunt for UEFA Champions League qualification. Aston Villa sit sixth, Manchester City third, and Arsenal second. Despite the difficulty, Bournemouth managed to beat Arsenal away from home (2:1).
Leicester City
Leicester City have accumulated seven points from a possible nine, benefiting from a favourable fixture list and a noticeable uptick in attacking output—six goals across three matches, two per game. Jamie Vardy was instrumental, netting twice and providing the assist for Facundo Buonanotte’s equaliser in the most challenging clash of the lot: a 2:2 draw away at Nottingham Forest.
Bournemouth vs Leicester City Prediction
Their two victories over fellow relegation-threatened sides Southampton and Ipswich Town came with clean sheets, but replicating that against Bournemouth seems unlikely. Leicester City have found the net in 10 of their last 12 matches this spring. A bet on both sides scoring appears to be the more sensible option here.
