Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the ATP tennis match
Two Americans Brandon Holt and Sahary Svajda will face each other on the court again. Svajda has won all five of their previous matches, with Holt only winning one set. It doesn’t look like things will change in Cincinnati.
Sahary Svajda is closer to reaching the top 100, but he might stay there for long. He is an average player, without extraordinary skills. Now, he’s playing a lot at home on hard courts. He qualified in Atlanta and then got into the main draw in Washington as a lucky loser. He didn’t do well in the main draw. In Cincinnati he started with the win over Alexey Zakharov.
Brandon Holt had a small injury in late July, so he couldn’t finish a match in Lexington. The break seems to have helped him. In Cincinnati qualifying, he won a tough three-set match against Dusan Lajovic. But we shouldn't think too much of this win, as it was Lajovic's first match on hard courts, which isn't his best surface. Now Holt has to play against Svajda, who isn't an easy opponent. It will be hard for Holt to win this match.
