Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English FA Cup match.
Brentford
Brentford beat only Luton Town (3:1) in December. They’re currently 16th in the Premier League and they’re going to struggle to remain in the highest tier of English football. They’re only 4 points ahead of the last three teams. The last head-to-head game against the Wolves (1:4) was unusual in the number of goals conceded. However, Brentford still can be rivals in their attacking actions. They have created 1.71 xG in 90 minutes on average (5th position).
Wolverhampton
Wolverhampton had a perfect ending of the year. They won 3 last games, which is the best winning run of the side in the current Premier League season. They managed to beat even Chelsea (2:1), they also beat Everton in the previous game (3:0). Besides, Pedro Neto is back in the squad, which will add some offensive options.
Brentford – Wolverhampton prediction
Brentford have had the worst part of the season, losing 5 consecutive Premier League games with the aggregate score of 4:12, including the game against Wolverhampton (1:4) 9 days ago. I don’t believe that something has changed in the Bees. The best scorer of the side Mbeumo (7+3) is injured. Ajer, Henry and Hickey may miss this game too.
I think that Brentford's defence won’t be perfect. However, this side is still dangerous in their attacking line.
