Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Europa League match.
Brighton
Brighton haven’t lost a home game since September. However, the Seagulls have won only 3 of these 7 matches. Brighton have managed to make quite many mistakes in their defensive actions even playing against such relatively weak Premier League teams like Fulham (1:1), Burnley (1:1) and Sheffield United (1:1).
Marseille
Marseille have won 4 consecutive games in all tournaments in their best part of the season. They have scored at least two goals in these games, scoring even at least three times in three of them. Aubameyang has scored 7 out of 13 goals in this period. Travelling to England can be an extra motivation for this player. He refused going to Saudi Arabia, choosing to play top football, and he wants to be at a high level as long as possible.
Brighton – Marseille prediction
Brighton is the most interesting team of the Premier League as 3,8 goals on average have been scored in the games involving the Seagulls. This is going to be a bright game, too. Aubameyang is a very experienced away goals scorer. He’s scored 100 goals (ranked 4th) in his career in the top 5 European leagues. Only Immobile (101), Kane (119) and Lewandowski (143) have scored more.
Both teams won’t mind risking. A defeat won’t mean anything special, but a win can allow someone to advance to the play-offs from the first place.
