Adam Williams presents his prediction for the NBA match.
Both teams are trending downward as the regular season winds to a close. The Brooklyn Nets are riding a four-game losing streak, while the Toronto Raptors find themselves in 11th place in the East, desperately clinging to hopes of a play-in spot with just 10 games remaining.
Brooklyn Nets
Offensively, it’s been a horror show for the Nets — they rank 29th in scoring, averaging just 105.3 points per game on 43.9% shooting. That number dips even further over their past four outings, where they’ve managed a paltry 97.8 points per game. The Nets have remained solid defensively. In back-to-back meetings with the Indiana Pacers, they held the Pacers to just 108 and 91 points — an impressive feat given Indiana’s top-10 offensive rating.
Toronto Raptors
Their attack is also sputtering. Over their last five games, the Raptors have scored only 101.2 points per night — and that’s despite facing a soft schedule featuring the Washington Wizards, the Phoenix Suns, the San Antonio Spurs and Portland Trail Blazers. The Canadian team’s defence is far from solid, but it’s unlikely the Nets will capitalise on it.
Brooklyn Nets vs Toronto Raptors Prediction
It’s hard to expect fireworks when both sides are misfiring this consistently. Neither offence is clicking, and the Brooklyn Nets’ recent defensive resilience adds weight to the under.
