Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the NHL match.
Buffalo Sabres
The Sabres have played 7 out of their last 10 games against the teams that are currently not in the play-off zone. However, even with this schedule, they haven’t managed to win over 50% of the games. This is a highly vulnerable team, that can lose any match.
Chicago Blackhawks
The Blackhawks have been recovering their defensive core. The squad is already similar to what they had in the beginning of the season. Seth Jones (0+11) has already recovered. He used to play over 25 minutes per game. Blackhawks haven’t conceded many goals recently. This has been a reason for handicap +1.5 to work in 4 out of the last 5 games the Blackhawks have played.
Buffalo Sabres – Chicago Blackhawks prediction
The Blackhawks can perform poorly, yet the odds on the Sabres are weird. They’re likely to be the most unstable team in the NHL. They had two consecutive wins in January, just for the second time this season. I don’t believe that the Sabres can beat the Blackhawks with a 2 (or more) goal lead.
There’s nothing impressive in the attacks of the Sabres. They won’t have a huge lead, as the Blackhawks can play well in defence.
