Burnley
Burnley have won 1 out of the last 7 games in all tournaments (1 draw, 5 defeats). However, the side doesn’t look like they’re doomed. They lost their games against Tottenham (0:1) in the FA Cup and Aston Villa (2:3) in the Premier League with a minimal goal difference. They also kept the intrigue alive almost until the very end in the game versus Liverpool (0:2). This is going to be the second home match in this season against a direct rival. They easily beat Sheffield United (5:0) in the previous one.
Luton Town
Even the luck Luton Town have had in their away games hasn’t changed the fact that the Hatters have a problem. They’re amongst the three teams in the relegation zone. Luton Town are one of the main candidates to be relegated to the Championship. They lost their previous game against Chelsea (2:3) without any real chance to resist, scoring only in the last 10 minutes of the game.
Burnley – Luton Town prediction
Luton Town play well on their ground. Yes, they have taken almost a half of their points in the away games but it was just a matter of luck. They beat Everton (2:1) and Sheffield United (3:2) having bad xG. They also ended the game versus Nottingham Forest (2:2).
I think this time Luton Town won’t be that lucky. Burnley are supposed to take three points.
