Adam Williams presents his prediction for the NHL match.
The Calgary Flames are riding a wave of momentum, having won four straight games to reignite their push for a wild card spot. The Dallas Stars, meanwhile, are at risk of slipping to third in the Western Conference as the Vegas Golden Knights close in, with defensive woes plaguing the Stars in recent outings.
Calgary Flames
The Flames are in fine form, taking down strong opposition with wins over the New York Rangers (2:1), the New Jersey Devils (5:3), the Seattle Kraken and the New York Islanders (both 4:3 OT). Their offence has come to life, scoring 13 goals across that span (3.25 per game). Veteran forward Nazem Kadri has been particularly effective, notching five goals and an assist over his last four games. The Flames have also found success in head-to-head matchups, scoring at least three goals in each of their last three meetings with the Dallas Stars.
Dallas Stars
The Stars have hit a rough patch, especially on the road — losing four of their last six away games. Defensive issues continue to plague the team, with three or more goals conceded in six of their past seven road games. Goaltender Jake Oettinger has struggled too, posting a lowly .865 save percentage during this stretch.
Calgary Flames vs Dallas Stars Prediction
The Calgary Flames are thriving at home and scoring freely, while the Dallas Stars are leaking goals on the road. With the Flames firing and Nazem Kadri in great form, there’s every reason to expect another solid offensive showing from the hosts — particularly against a tired and shaky Stars defence.
