Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the ATP Geneva match.
Novak Djokovic is starting to resemble the dominant figure fans have come to expect. The Serbian is using the Geneva tournament as a tune-up ahead of Roland Garros, and based on his showing against Matteo Arnaldi, he appears to be hitting his stride. In the semi-final, he will face Cameron Norrie, who has come through qualifying and now looks physically and mentally worn down.
Cameron Norrie
The 2025 season has been disappointing for Cameron Norrie, with this semi-final in Geneva marking his best performance so far. The Briton began in the qualifiers and has already played five matches. His quarter-final win over Alexei Popyrin was hard-fought and far from convincing. Norrie has slipped to 90th in the rankings and hasn’t beaten a top-10 opponent since 2023, with six straight defeats at that level. While his clay-court game, built on consistency and a dependable backhand, remains serviceable, it is unlikely to trouble Novak Djokovic.
Novak Djokovic
After a tough spring, Novak Djokovic is beginning to rediscover his form in Geneva. His 6:4, 6:4 victory over Matteo Arnaldi showcased renewed confidence, sharpness, and accuracy. He broke serve three times and landed 68% of his first serves. This season, he has won seven of ten matches against players ranked outside the top 50. Moreover, Djokovic has beaten Cameron Norrie in their last four meetings, three of those in straight sets.
Cameron Norrie vs Novak Djokovic Prediction
Cameron Norrie enters this semi-final clearly fatigued, with his recent wins owing more to opponents’ mistakes than dominant play. Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic is building momentum and looks set to claim his fifth consecutive win over the Briton—this time in straightforward fashion.
