Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Segunda División match.
Cádiz are enjoying a decent run of form, remaining unbeaten in their last five matches. They’ve managed to climb out of the relegation zone and are now focused on maintaining this positive momentum. Meanwhile, Mirandés are firmly in the top group, contending for promotion to La Liga.
Cádiz
Cádiz have managed to stabilise their results, but their home form remains a concern, with only three wins in 12 home games. Their defence has been leaky, ranking 15th in the league for reliability, conceding an average of 1.35 goals per game. Additionally, they’ve allowed at least one goal in five of their last seven league matches. The team's goalkeeper has struggled as well, saving only 69% of shots on target on average.
Mirandés
Mirandés rely on a solid defensive foundation, having conceded just 18 goals in 23 matches—a record bettered only by Elche (16). Recently, their attacking form has also improved, scoring in eight of their last 10 matches and netting 17 goals in that period (61% of their season total). Joaquín Panichelli has been a standout performer, leading the team with nine goals this campaign.
Cádiz vs Mirandés Prediction
While Cádiz have been picking up points, their defensive vulnerabilities, particularly at home, could prove costly against an in-form Mirandés attack. In their November meeting, Cádiz conceded twice to Mirandés, and it’s likely the visitors will find the back of the net again here.
