Chelsea
Chelsea have been unstable in the course of the season. For example, they have just been eliminated from the EFL Cup by Middlesbrough (0:1). This was the first defeat, suffered by Chelsea from a lower division team in this tournament since 1999. However, Chelsea are stubborn in their attacking actions. They’re second in xG (1.97), only behind Liverpool (2.21).
Fulham
Fulham have something to impress. Willian (4+1) is one of the best players. He’s the oldest one to score in the EFL Cup semi-final after Fernandinho in 2021. He also scored a goal in the match against Liverpool (1:2). It wasn’t enough to win, though.
Chelsea – Fulham prediction
This game won’t be a boring one, as both teams prefer to risk. Even the fact that Nkunku and Jackson will miss the game won’t change anything. Chelsea have many creative players, for example Cole Palmer (8+4). He’s the second in the league amongst the under-23 players in progressive passes (6.1) per 90 minutes.
I expect this game to be bright and exciting.
