Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Last week brought its own setbacks for both clubs. Chelsea couldn't break through Everton, and Fulham failed against Southampton, a primary contender for promotion. Both matches ended goalless. Will this fixture see more action?
Chelsea
Chelsea's eight-match winning streak was snapped, although they still boast a twelve-match unbeaten run. Focusing solely on Stamford Bridge encounters, they have not lost since 18 August, when the team fell to Manchester City in the season opener (0:2). Since then, Chelsea have played 12 home games, securing nine wins and three draws.
Fulham
Fulham could not unlock Southampton's defence at Craven Cottage, with Southampton's goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale not even needing to make spectacular saves. It was routine work for him. This goalless draw marks the third consecutive stalemate for Fulham. They seem quite unpredictable. The first two draws in this series were away matches against Arsenal (1:1) and Liverpool (2:2). In reality, the team had some fortune against these top sides. Against Arsenal, a Bukayo Saka goal was disallowed late on, while Liverpool were reduced to ten men just 17 minutes into the game.
Chelsea vs Fulham Prediction
If nothing unusual occurs, Chelsea are expected to secure the win. Additionally, last season saw both fixtures go in their favour with a 2:0 away win and a 1:0 home victory.
