China (women)
The chinese team won all three matches in the group stage and reached the quater-finals as group leader. They beat the strong US team in a tough match (3:2). In that game, China led 2:0, but had to play a deciding set, which they won (15:13). After that, they easily beat France (3:0) and a solid Serbia team (3:1).
Turkey (women)
Turkey’s performance in the group stage wasn't consistent. In the first tour, they were losing to the Netherlands, but turned the game around and made a comeback (3:2). Then, against an average Dominican team, they lost the first set, but pulled themselves together and won (3:1). In the final round, the Turkish team lost badly to Italy (0:3), one of the tournament's main favourites. It’s worth noting that in the first two sets they scored only 14 and 16 points, which is very low for the top team.
Prediction
China is the favourite in this pair, as Turkey isn’t showing its best game and has no chance against the strongest teams in this tournament. China has already faced a couple of top opponents and won, so they will easily defeat the Turkish team and reach the semi-final.
