Adam Williams presents his prediction for the NBA match.
As the regular season winds to a close, the New York Knicks still haven’t managed a win against any team with a better win-loss record. With back-to-back games coming up against the Cleveland Cavaliers, this mini-series gives the Knicks a last chance to change that narrative.
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers have found their rhythm again after a shaky spell, racking up four wins in their last five. Their top performers have stepped up just in time, hitting 120+ points in each of those games. The return of Ty Jerome has also added spark off the bench — the guard chips in with a reliable 12.2 points per game without starting.
New York Knicks
The Knicks, meanwhile, continue to beat only the bottom-feeders. Their recent home game against the Los Angeles Clippers (113:126) was another defensive collapse — the Clippers shot 51.1% from the field and 50% in the paint. With Karl-Anthony Towns now sidelined, the Knicks lose their primary presence under the rim — he averages 12.8 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game. Without him, they are especially vulnerable inside.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs New York Knicks Prediction
In their last head-to-head, the Cavaliers demolished the Knicks (142:105). Now, they come in well-rested, having not played since March 30, while the Knicks will be playing their third game in five nights. It’s hard to see this being close. Expect the Cavaliers to pile on the points once again.
