Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the NHL match.
Colorado Avalanche
The leaders of the Avalanche have to play a lot. MacKinnon, Rantanen, Toews and Makar has played over 23 minutes per game on average. The situation with their goaltenders is complicated too. Alexandar Georgiev has to play each game as Ivan Prosvetov isn’t really ready to play on the NHL level now. Georgiev has less than 90% of the saves made.
Vegas Golden Knights
The team beat the New York Islanders (4:1) without significant problems on Sunday. Jack Eichel scored twice (18+24). This season is about to be the most productive in his career. If he keeps on this way, he will be able to get 80 points in the regular season.
Colorado Avalanche – Vegas Golden Knights prediction
Several factors speak for the Golden Knights. First, the team will be fresh as they’ve had two more days to take some rest compared to their opponents. Second, Adin Hill, the hero of the last year’s play-offs, is about to get back on ice. He’s the best in percentage of saves among those who have played at least 10 games.
The Golden Knights are not that bad. The recent results prove it. They can struggle hard, having Hill in the goal.
