Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Segunda División match.
Levante remain firmly in the race for automatic promotion to La Liga, sitting just one point behind Elche. They are in strong form and cannot afford any missteps. While Córdoba still have a mathematical shot at finishing in the top six, a six-point gap makes their task increasingly difficult, especially with this fixture looming.
Córdoba
After going four matches without a win—three draws and a loss to Elche—Córdoba narrowly beat Málaga (1:0). However, their overall displays have been underwhelming, particularly at home. The team have lost four of their last six fixtures and have conceded 48 goals this season, ranking 18th in the league in that category. Additionally, they have committed at least one costly defensive error in 12 of their 16 home matches.
Levante
Levante, on the other hand, have won six of their last seven games and have suffered just two defeats since mid-December. Levante concede less than a goal per game on average and currently sit third in the league for defensive solidity. In attack, Levante are among the most potent sides in the Segunda División, with 53 goals scored—second only to Almería, who lead with 56. Levante also boast a well-rounded attacking line-up, with six players having scored at least five goals each.
Córdoba vs Levante Prediction
Córdoba will be determined to take something from the match, but in terms of attacking threat and overall consistency, Levante look the more complete side. With the visitors hitting their stride as the season enters its final stretch—and the hosts struggling for consistency—we’ll back Levante to avoid defeat.
