Adam Williams presents his prediction for the EuroLeague match.
Crvena Zvezda have nearly secured a place in the play-in tournament but remain firmly in the race for a top-six finish. They are just one win behind Barcelona and hold a game in hand. Anadolu Efes are in a similar situation, having climbed back into contention following a strong surge after previously sitting outside the top ten.
Crvena Zvezda
Crvena Zvezda have struggled with consistency throughout the regular season. They come into this fixture on the back of two consecutive losses. While the 72:78 defeat against Real Madrid Baloncesto was somewhat anticipated, the 77:78 loss to Spartak in the Adriatic League has raised a few eyebrows. In both games, the team struggled offensively, shooting just 33.8% and 39.7% from the field respectively. Their long-range accuracy has also taken a hit, converting only 14 of 63 three-point attempts across those two matches.
Anadolu Efes
Anadolu Efes are currently enjoying an excellent run of form. They have won six straight EuroLeague games, a streak that includes victories over both lower-ranked sides and top-tier offences such as Bayern Munich, who they beat 97:92. During this stretch, the Istanbul-based squad have averaged 93.8 points per game, including a 97-point performance in Belgrade against Partizan Belgrade, which resulted in a resounding 32-point win. Much of their recent success can be attributed to the versatility in scoring options. Darius Thompson might lead with 19 points in one contest, only for Elijah Bryant or Jordan Nwora to step up and take charge in the next.
Crvena Zvezda vs Anadolu Efes Prediction
In the reverse fixture, Anadolu Efes comfortably defeated Crvena Zvezda (89:67) at home. With their current momentum and considering their recent dominant display in Belgrade, a similar result looks highly likely.
