Crystal Palace have been one of the most prolific points earners over the last five games, with three wins and two draws, rewarding them with their highest position in this season's standings (12th).

They emerge as favourites in this London derby. In addition to maintaining their impressive form, Crystal Palace have significantly tightened their defence, conceding only three goals in five matches. Previously, they had not conceded many more, typical of a team around the 15th spot (25 goals in 17 games), but their low goal-scoring had been a disadvantage. Now, that has been compensated for, leading to these outcomes. Some might think they’ve had an easy schedule, but aside from facing Chelsea (1:1), they played three away matches and remained unbeaten (two wins and one draw).
Brentford
Brentford, meanwhile, have had massive issues with their away games. Up to January, they hadn't won any and secured only two points on the road in nine matches. The main reason — they scored little, averaging no more than a goal per game while conceding nearly two (1.8). Their first away victory came on 4 January, but it's a flimsy argument for another victory. They thrashed the bottom side Southampton (5:0), who have only taken points in four of their 22 games.
Crystal Palace vs Brentford Prediction
Crystal Palace's defence is solid, and they have also improved in attack in January, scoring five goals in three games, making them the likely winners in this bout.
