Derby County's unenviable run of four consecutive defeats across all competitions puts their Championship status in jeopardy. Watford have also struggled to please their fans with victories in recent weeks, but the London side have different ambitions — they need only to defeat the underdog to return to the playoff spots.

The loss to Bristol City (0:1) marked Derby's 13th defeat of the current campaign — only Luton Town have lost more in the Championship (15). Derby County face numerous issues with their defensive organisation. Since 27 November, they have conceded six goals in five home games. Notably, they were eliminated in the FA Cup's Round of 64 by Leyton Orient (1:2 after penalties), managing only four shots on target against their League One opponents.
Watford
Watford's struggles with results began post-Christmas — they suffered three defeats in four games. On the other hand, they haven't been favoured with fixtures; they even drew a strong Fulham side in the FA Cup (1:4). Away from home, Watford have scored 17 goals in 13 matches — only four teams in the Championship have netted more.
