Adam Williams presents his prediction for the 2024 International Championship qualifiers match.
Dominic Dale
Dominic Dale has been playing on the tour for over 30 years and recently announced that he will be hanging up his cue after this season. Dale is 52 and is currently working as a commentator on Eurosport. He may also be interested in coaching young players in the future. In the meantime, Dale has played well at the Grand Prix, beating Shaun Murphy 5-2 and Noppon Saengkham 5-3. In the next qualification matches, Dale defeated Haris Tahir 4-2 and Liam Davies 4-0 but lost to Lyu Haotian 4-2.
Zak Surety
Zak Surety has remained on the tour thanks to a strong performance last season, but things are not going well for the Englishman now. Surety's best performance was reaching the last 32 of the English Open, where he beat Noppon Saengkham 4-0 and Elliott Slessor 4-2. Zak is a very inconsistent player and plays differently against the same opponents. In the qualification game for the Northern Ireland Open, Surety lost to Haris Tahir 4-2.
Dominic Dale vs Zak Surety Prediction
In terms of experience and skill, there is no doubt that Dominic Dale is better than Zak Surety. Given that this is the last season in Dale's career, we believe he will play without the pressure of keeping a place on the tour, and this will help him showcase his game.
