Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Segunda División match.
Eibar are traditionally strong at home, while their opponents, fresh from relegation out of La Liga, remain inconsistent. Head-to-head history also favours the Basques, which adds extra intrigue both for the table and for betting interest.
Eibar
Eibar shared the spoils with Málaga in the last round (1:1). They had just 46% possession and produced seven shots, three on target, but were efficient enough with Javi Martón finding the net. Over their last 10 matches, Eibar have recorded three wins, three draws and four defeats. At home, though, they are far more reliable, combining a solid back line with effective use of free kicks and corners. Crucially, they have dominated this fixture in recent years, winning nine of their last 12 against Granada.
Granada
Granada, by contrast, lost 1:3 at home to Deportivo in their previous outing. Their form has been erratic, alternating wins and defeats, but overall the picture is bleak: just two victories, two draws and six losses in their last 10. Defensively they remain fragile, conceding almost every game. Away from home, Granada often struggle with positional play and allow opponents too many clear chances.
Eibar vs Granada Prediction
With the home factor and head-to-head record in their favour, Eibar look the more dependable side. The Basques make fewer defensive mistakes and tend to be clinical in front of goal, while Granada continue to leak at the back, especially on their travels. Given both teams’ current form, a cagey contest with limited goals looks most likely, and the hosts should at least avoid defeat.
