England have the easiest run-in for the final two rounds, facing Italy at home before a trip to Wales. Depending on other results, England could still mount a late title challenge, though their negative point difference (-3) could be a problem in a tiebreak scenario. However, that stat is understandable, considering they’ve already faced Ireland, France, and Scotland—historically their toughest fixtures.
Italy
Italy’s heavy defeat to France (24:73) in Rome two weeks ago confirmed their struggles at this level. Just a year ago, they came agonisingly close to a draw in France (13:13), but this time around, they were completely outclassed. Against Scotland (19:31), they also looked out of their depth, and even their home win over Wales (22:15) was far from convincing. Under pressure, Italy crumble quickly—and England will certainly apply plenty of pressure.
England vs Italy Prediction
There’s no doubt England will win, but the real question is by how much. This won’t be a competitive game, and the hosts will be looking to boost their point difference. Expect a ruthless performance from the English team, with no mercy shown to the visitors.
