England
Seconds before the end of regular time of the Round of 16 game we thought that England would be eliminated. Jude Bellingham saved our day! Now we’re about to see the English side in the quarter-finals. Based on what we’ve already seen, this match will not be an easy walk. Still there is a hope that Southgate will change something in his tactics. But this hope is fading.
Switzerland
The side seems to be one of the strongest in this tournament. They weren’t defeated by Germany. They quite easily beat Italy in the previous round. Although, the Italian side style was very controversial. Switzerland know how to stand against fierce attacks of top sides. A mix of experienced and young players is supposed to help Switzerland in this game, too.
England – Switzerland prediction
Switzerland are unlikely to focus on defensive football like Slovakia did. It will give England an additional chance to score. However, the Swiss side will strike back. I believe that this game may end up in extra time or on penalties. However, Switzerland will have a chance to win if they keep on playing in the way they did before.
