Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Everton
Everton have played perfectly in the last couple of months. They have won 6 out of the 9m Premier League games. Only Arsenal (20), Liverpool (22) and Aston Villa (23) have taken more points than Everton (19). However, currently there’s a reason to say that the Toffees have faced a crisis. They were defeated by Tottenham (1:2) last weekend, 4 days prior to that they had been eliminated from the EFL Cup by Fulham on penalties.
Man City
The Citizens are likely to play without Erling Haaland (14+4), but I doubt it’s going to be a real problem. There are players who can perform well in the attacking line, besides the Norwegian. For example, Julián Álvarez (4+6). He scored two goals in the FIFA Club World Cup against Fluminense (4:0), and he’s a vital part of the attacking line in the Premier League. Jérémy Doku (2+5) has recovered, too.
Everton – Man City prediction
Manchester City have managed to beat only Luton Town (2:1) in the last 6 games. However, there’s no reason to underestimate the Citizens. They have just won the FIFA Club World Cup, which should help them emotionally. I think it’s a reason to believe in the Citizens.
I guess the successful trip to Saudi Arabia should help Manchester City to come back to the Premier League brightly.
