Everton
The pre-season games were unlikely good enough for the head coach. Of course, some reserve players were in the squad against Sligo Rovers (3:3), Salford Town (1:2) and Coventry City (0:3). Still, the results aren’t good. On the other hand, the Toffees beat Preston North End in August (3:0), with Calvert-Lewin, O’Brien and Lindstrøm scoring goals.
Roma
The Roma side trusts De Rossi, signing some expensive players. Soulé and Dovbyk are the key ones. They were bought for almost 60 million euro for both. They’re expected to start well right away. Roma are only finding their game. They had scored only two goals in three friendly games before they beat Barnsley (4:0).
Everton - Roma Prediction
Everton are prepared for the new season better than Roma. The Italian side will have some attempts, but they’re not ready to beat this quite strong opponent.
