Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Turkish Basketball Super League match.
Many believed the Turkish Basketball Super League final had been thrown wide open again, but Fenerbahçe quickly dashed those hopes. They now lead the series 3:1 and are on the verge of securing the title on their home court.
Fenerbahçe
As expected, Fenerbahçe’s key players bounced back in Game 4 after a disappointing third outing. Nigel Hayes-Davis contributed 15 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Wade Baldwin was even more impressive, racking up 24 points. When they perform at such a level, it becomes clear that Beşiktaş only retain a theoretical chance of salvaging the series.
Beşiktaş
Beşiktaş had to capitalise on a tremendous performance from Jonah Mathews, but ultimately fell short. The guard dropped 26 points, but it is unlikely Fenerbahçe will allow him that much freedom again. Meanwhile, he has received little to no support from teammates. Derek Needham has struggled heavily over the last three games, averaging just 4.3 points, while Kyle Allman has only once broken the 10-point mark in the final.
Fenerbahçe vs Beşiktaş Prediction
Fenerbahçe players, along with their fans, are already picturing the trophy in their hands. Just imagine the atmosphere at the Ülker Sports Arena. Under such conditions, the hosts cannot afford to lose—nor even allow the visitors a glimmer of hope. A thrashing seems highly likely.
