Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Champions League Qualifying match.
Ferencváros
The Hungarian champions controlled much of the first meeting, registering the only two shots on target. This season, they have opened the scoring in four of their six matches and are on a three-game winning streak at home. In the previous round, the team saw off Noah (6:4 on aggregate), and followed that up in the league with a 4:1 win over Nyíregyháza Spartacus. Reaching the Champions League group stage is a rare feat for Ferencváros, achieved only three times in their history.
Ludogorets Razgrad
Ludogorets Razgrad came through ties against Dinamo Minsk and Rijeka only after extra time, and in the first leg against Ferencváros failed to make their home advantage count. They are, however, renowned for their solid defence — five clean sheets in their last seven matches, including a 3:0 win over Slavia Sofia in the Bulgarian league. Ludogorets Razgrad also have positive memories of Budapest, having beaten Ferencváros (3:0) there in 2019.
Ferencváros vs Ludogorets Razgrad Prediction
Ferencváros can count on home support and a habit of starting on the front foot, while Ludogorets bring an organised back line and experience in grinding out results. The first leg suggested neither side will take major risks. A cautious encounter with few clear chances looks the most likely outcome.
