Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Serie A match.
Fiorentina’s three-match winning streak came to an end with a 1:2 away loss to Inter Milan, but they remain firmly in the race for a top-four finish. A home clash with struggling Como presents a great opportunity to bounce back and secure crucial points.
Fiorentina
Since the start of 2025, Fiorentina have scored 10 goals – a tally bettered by only five Serie A teams. February has been particularly strong for them, securing back-to-back home victories against Genoa (2:1) and Inter Milan (3:0). Notably, they achieved five shots on target in those two matches despite generating only 1.75 xG. A major factor behind their attacking prowess is Moise Kean’s form – the striker is the league’s second-highest scorer with 15 goals and 2 assists this season.
Como
Como’s poor run of form (four defeats in their last five league games) has dragged them back into the relegation battle. Their lead over 18th-placed Parma has shrunk to just two points. Como’s away form has been abysmal, picking up only seven points from 12 away games – a record worse than every team except Venezia (4 points). Against Juventus (1:2), Como managed more shots (16-8), but the quality of chances heavily favoured the title contenders (0.88 vs 1.14 in xG).
Fiorentina vs Como Prediction
Back in November, Fiorentina comfortably beat Como away (2:0), and given their strong home form, another dominant performance is expected. Fiorentina should create plenty of chances, and Como’s defensive struggles on the road make this a perfect opportunity for Fiorentina’s attack to shine.
