Freiburg
The side has won only one out of the 10 games played in all tournaments since January. In the previous round, Freiburg eliminated Lens. The first leg ended in a goalless draw. Lens had a lead 2:0 but Freiburg managed to win 3:2 in extra time. Freiburg managed to end their match against Bayern in a draw (2:2), thanks to the goal scored in the late minutes of the match. Freiburg are 9th in the league.
West Ham
The Hammers have scored seven goals in the last two Premier League games. The other eight games played in 2024 saw West Ham scoring only four goals. Beating Brentford (4:1) and Everton (3:1) showed the real level of the Hammers. Bowen has awoken scoring three goals against Brentford and made an assist against the Toffees.
Freiburg – West Ham prediction
Two consecutive victories made the terrible start of 2024 a bit brighter for West Ham. Freiburg has a draw against one of the leaders as a positive fact. Despite two victories, the bookmakers don’t believe that West Ham is an obvious favourite.
West Ham beat Freiburg twice in the group stage in autumn (2:1 in the away game and 2:0 in the home match). This game will not end with West Ham losing.
