Fulham are a tough nut to crack this season. They’re 8 points ahead of the relegation zone. They have been playing very well in the home games, winning 5 out of the last 6 matches. They’ve already beaten Arsenal (1:0), West Ham (5:0) and Tottenham (1:1, 5:3 on penalties). The EFL Cup is not a priority for Liverpool, so Fulham have a chance to win the game.
Liverpool
The away side has real problems with their squad. Matip and Alexander-Arnold will miss the game, along with Salah, who’s been performing at the Africa Cup of Nations. There’s a tough schedule waiting ahead for Liverpool. The Reds are unlikely to waste their strengths in this game. They have a 1-goal advantage, so they will just do everything they can to keep this lead.
Fulham – Liverpool prediction
Liverpool have won 5 consecutive games. They beat Fulham (2:1) two weeks ago in the home game. Fulham had a lead until the 68th minute. However, the goals scored by Jones and Gakpo changed everything. Now all that the Reds need is to avoid losing this game. Fulham, however, can be a problem for Liverpool in this match.
