Real Madrid's recent downturn in form has left fans uncertain ahead of Saturday’s Copa del Rey final and the final stretch of the La Liga title race. Visiting Getafe, Real Madrid are likely to rotate their starting eleven, giving fringe players such as Arda Güler and Brahim Díaz a chance to feature—although they may struggle to unlock a well-organised mid-table side.
Getafe
Despite losing three of their last four games, Getafe remain in a stable position in the standings, just two points adrift of the top half. They have the poorest attacking output in La Liga by a significant margin—only 10 of their 32 league matches have seen a Total Over 2.5. Since the beginning of 2025, Getafe have conceded only 14 goals in 14 matches, ranking them sixth-best in the league defensively.
Real Madrid
After their Champions League elimination against Arsenal (1:5 on aggregate), Real Madrid scraped a narrow 1:0 win over Athletic Bilbao, with the only goal arriving late through a stroke of luck from Federico Valverde. Kylian Mbappé was suspended for that fixture, and in his absence, the attacking trio of Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo Goes, and Jude Bellingham found it difficult to create clear chances (1.73 xG and seven shots on target). Once again, Real Madrid showed vulnerability against deep defensive setups with limited space to exploit.
Getafe vs Real Madrid Prediction
In the last 10 encounters between Getafe and Real Madrid, a Total Over 2.5 has been recorded only once—in December, when Real Madrid earned a straightforward 2:0 victory at the Bernabéu. With the Copa del Rey final approaching, Real Madrid are unlikely to produce a high-scoring performance.
