Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the La Liga match.
Girona and Levante both started with three straight defeats and only collected their first points in the previous round. This head-to-head is an opportunity for each side to climb off the bottom of the standings and restore some confidence.
Girona
Girona have played four rounds and have only one point, earned away to Celta de Vigo (1:1). Moreover, the squad has already conceded 11 goals, which is the worst record in La Liga. They have offered little in attack as well, with only two goals scored. However, new signing Vladyslav Vanat has already made an impact by scoring on his debut. In head-to-head meetings with Levante, Girona have not impressed: they have managed only one win in the last five, with both sides regularly finding the net.
Levante
Levante also began with three defeats, but they looked bright against Real Betis (2:2): they led 2:0 and let the win slip late on. Across four rounds, Levante have scored five goals, which is better than Girona’s return of two. The squad has also added a powerful centre-forward who has delivered four goal contributions (2+2), two goals and two assists this season. However, there is a clear issue for the team: in every match they have conceded at least twice, and the goal difference is a concern (5:9).
Girona vs Levante Prediction
Girona concede more than anyone in the league, and Levante have yet to keep a clean sheet through four rounds. This points to a high‑scoring contest, with both teams scoring.
