Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Segunda Division match.
In September, Huesca suffered two unexpected point losses, which pushed the team away from the top spot in the championship. Most likely, at home, they will impose their style on Córdoba, who are used to playing at a slower pace.
Huesca
Since the start of the campaign, three out of five matches involving Huesca have seen no more than two goals. Against Burgos and Málaga (both 0:1), the team managed just three shots on target combined. Notably, key defender Ignasi Vilarrasa returns from suspension, which should strengthen their defence, allowing the coaching staff to revert to a five-man backline.
Córdoba
In the previous round, Córdoba secured their first win in the Segunda Division, although Deportivo La Coruña had enough chances to draw (2:0 and 6-5 in shots on target). It is crucial for Córdoba to collect points against their competitors, as they lack the quality in their squad to challenge for a top-10 finish. The campaign hasn't started well for Nikolay Obolsky either; the Russian forward has yet to make a significant impact and has lost his place to Théo Zidane
Huesca vs Córdoba Prediction
After returning to the Segunda Division, Córdoba have focused on a cautious approach from the back. A narrow victory will be enough for Huesca to return to the top 5, as both teams are unlikely to have the stamina for more than two goal-scoring attacks. Moreover, at the start of the tournament, they have been more effective in defence than in attack.
