Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Segunda División match.
Huesca
Huesca opened the campaign with a home draw against Leganés (1:1), who consistently took points off La Liga top sides last season. Across that match and the away win at Mirandés (1:0), the squad conceded a combined 1.09 xGA and allowed only five shots on target in 180 minutes. Huesca will continue to operate with strict defensive discipline and will avoid unnecessary risk in attack.
Eibar
In last season’s Segunda División, Eibar were the least eventful team in the competition, hitting Total Over 2.5 only 13 times in 42 rounds. A challenging early schedule this term brought a draw with Málaga (1:1) and an unexpected 3:0 win over Granada, helped by a red card for the opposition. Across those fixtures, Eibar allowed just 0.62 xGA, and they are not letting opponents create much at their end.
Huesca vs Eibar Prediction
Monday’s main fixture on the programme should be a tight affair. Huesca and Eibar are unlikely to both get on the scoresheet, as it suits both squads to sit in, wait for errors and strike in transition.
