Both clubs remain locked in a fierce contest for a top-six finish in the Segunda División and a place in the promotion play-offs to La Liga. Huesca have shown an upturn in form in recent fixtures, while Racing Santander continue to alternate between victories and defeats.
Huesca
Huesca appear to be recovering from their March slump, during which they suffered three consecutive losses, and are now regaining momentum. They have claimed two wins in their last three outings, maintaining their position within the top six. Crucially, they defeated Malaga 1:0 in the previous round, keeping a clean sheet for the first time in seven matches. Furthermore, Huesca boast a strong home record, having lost only twice in 17 home fixtures in the Segunda.
Racing Santander
Racing Santander have lost ground recently, securing only one win in their last four matches — and even that came against struggling Real Zaragoza (2:0). Since then, they dropped points against bottom-placed Castellón (1:1) and were outplayed by Levante in a 1:3 defeat. While Racing Santander remain productive in attack — their 54 goals make them the fourth-highest scoring team in the division — their defensive vulnerabilities are increasingly evident. Racing Santander have conceded in five of their previous six matches, letting in at least two goals on two of those occasions.

The hosts enter this crucial phase of the season in excellent shape. Huesca perform well at home and already overcame Racing Santander in the reverse fixture earlier this season. While Racing Santander are still inside the top three, their leaky defence continues to undermine their progress.
