Inter Milan have lost their last two league matches. They have fallen short of last season’s standard. Against Juventus they led 3:2 with 15 minutes remaining but lost 4:3. Cristian Chivu’s inexperience at this level has shown, leading to late collapses and dropped points.
Sassuolo
Sassuolo have made it clear they do not intend to return to Serie B. In the third round they beat a solid Lazio side (1:0) and were clearly the better team (1.13-0.76 in xG). Tarik Muharemović has been outstanding, solid defensively and providing assists.

Inter Milan are strong favourites, but this will not be straightforward. In midweek they had a demanding trip to the Netherlands to face Ajax (2:0), so several first-choice players may need a rest. Sassuolo have every chance of taking something from this match.
