Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Recently, both teams have been involved in goal-fests, yet this hasn't lifted them from the lower end of the table. This will be a six-point game.
Ipswich Town
In Ipswich Town's last four matches, 18 goals have been scored, but only a third of them were credited to them, resulting in only one point earned. They are currently on a three-match losing streak. The last point they secured at home was against Aston Villa (2:2). That was their fourth consecutive draw. Ipswich Town are still dreaming of their first Premier League victory.
Leicester City
For Leicester City, four of their last five matches have finished with a total over 3.5, but only in one of those did the barrage of goals lead to victory: a 3:2 away win against Southampton. Two of those fixtures were away against top clubs, so it was no surprise they lost to Arsenal in the sixth round (2:4) and Manchester United (2:5) on Wednesday in the League Cup. Perhaps they should aim to score just once and win, as they did against Bournemouth in the seventh round. Although Bournemouth usually plays low-scoring games.
Ipswich Town vs Leicester City Prediction
Ipswich Town and Leicester City don't boast a stellar attack, but their defences are even weaker. Both sides are likely to concede, possibly multiple times, so a total over 2.5 is expected.
