The season opener will be crucial for both Ipswich and Liverpool. Ipswich is making their Premier League comeback after a long time, while Liverpool is starting a new era under their new head coach Aren Slot.
Ipswich Town
Ipswich went really quiсkly through the recent Championship, going unbeaten in their last five matches and they reached the English Premier League, winning over Leads in the final. They haven’t made any big signings, except for Don Hutchinson, who played for Ipswich last season (10+5 in 44 Championship matches). The team starts their new campaign with three wins from four friendlies, with scoring only four goals.
Liverpool
Liveprool’s pre-season under Aren Slot has been more impressive. They won four friendly matches in a row, including victories over Manchester United (3:0) and Sevilla (4:1) and drew with Las Palmas (0:0). It’s with noting that the team didn’t sign any new players for the Premier League start, but the new coach gave a chance for all players.
Ipswich Town - Liverpool Prediction
In the season 2001/02 Liveprool destroyed Ipswich in the head-to-head matches (6:0 and 5:0). Now the score difference will be smaller, but Liverpool will take three points without any problems, as they're a higher level.
