Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
A draw in the previous round allowed Ipswich Town to climb one place, but they remain in the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur have strung together two consecutive clean-sheet victories, moving from 15th to 12th place. Both teams desperately need points.
Ipswich Town
Ipswich Town earned their recent draw against Aston Villa despite playing with 10 men from the 40th minute, following Axel Tuanzebe’s red card. Aston Villa even had to come from behind. New goalkeeper Alex Palmer, signed from West Bromwich Albion, shone in his debut, making six crucial saves and securing Ipswich Town’s first point in five games.
Tottenham Hotspur
There was also a goalkeeping change at Tottenham Hotspur, as Guglielmo Vicario returned from injury and immediately kept a clean sheet against Manchester United. Some of his six saves were not just effective but spectacular. Before that, Antonín Kinský had helped secure a 1:0 away win against Brentford. Regardless of who starts in goal, Tottenham Hotspur have a strong foundation at the back.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur Prediction
Ange Postecoglou still cannot rely on Dominic Solanke or Richarlison de Andrade, while Mathys Tel, on loan from Bayern Munich, is still adapting to the Premier League. Son Heung-min and Timo Werner are also doubtful, making Tottenham Hotspur’s attacking options limited. With both teams showing defensive resilience and Tottenham Hotspur struggling with attacking absences, we expect a low-scoring match.
